Drs. Tony and Mary decided to build a two-story facility and initially planned to find a tenant for the first floor to help offset the cost of the new office. Now, however, after having the time to think about it during the COVID-19 shutdown, they realize they will grow into that space as their patient base continues to increase and at least four of their five children join the practice over time. They wanted the new office to be a quiet, calm space for patients who might be nervous when arriving to their appointments. “There is still a busy, bustling feel that imparts a sense that lots of people seek our care,” he said. “However, with the new design, we can insulate patients from conversations, music, and treatment room noises when we need quiet.”
Dr. Tony said they’ve worked with many vendors over the years. “When we decided to go forward with this project, we knew we wanted to avoid the delays and expense caused when you don’t have a well-coordinated team,” he noted. “The Patterson team had the knowledge and industry relationships to make our buildout a smooth process.” Dr. Mary echoed this praise. “Patterson Dental had us go to Chicago Midwinter to see different equipment. They had reps talk to us about the pros and cons of their technologies. Ryan had helped us with a lot of our remodels, so we were familiar with him and knew the level of service to expect from him and the Patterson team.”
“I don’t regret doing this. Business in the new facility has increased exponentially. We have always been busy, but we’ve doubled our new patient numbers in the middle of a pandemic. It’s been truly amazing.”
